Laos is not only attractive tourists by stunning destinations in Laos but also it is also famous for delicious traditional Laos’s foods. Therefore, when visiting Laos, you should not forget some traditional Laos’s foods which are so delicious and special cuisine.

According to Laotians conception, parents are the most important, so parents will pick up the first piece of food to the party starts. Therefore, if you are invited to Laos’ family, you should follow some rules. For example, you can not eat while others have stood up and you have to leave a little food on your plate. If not, the homeowners will think that they do not attentive reception, guests are not enough full, the landlord will lose face. Rice is a highly valued food in Laos, especially the sticky rice, although rice (Khao Chao) and vermicelli rice (Khao poon) are also very popular here. Family members usually eat rice from Laos bowl in general or for personal use per person a bowl, separate Laotian sticky rice. The most special thing in there is that the food was loaded by hand. When eating, the Laotians will hold sticky rice into small cubes, and then use it as a spoon to feed on dredging and sliding the disc into the mouth, or put into the sauce. In addition, you also enjoy Khao Lam which is very attractive. Sticky rice will be put inside a bamboo tube and baked.

In Laos language, Laap has meant lucky, it is considered as the peace wishes. Therefore, almost tourists when visiting Laos have to spend the time to enjoy the dish for lucky. Raw materials make this dish could use beef, pork, chicken and mixed with chopped liver with spices such as lemon juice, chili, and galangal. After mixing, the dish will be served with raw vegetables like lettuce fish, lettuce, string beans. All blended together creates the extremely attractive aroma. The sour taste of the lime juice, spicy chili, aroma of spices gives visitors an unforgettable experience.

Khausoy is the famous dish in Luang Prabang which is similar with Pho in Vietnam but it has simple ingredients and tastes more delicious. Khausoy broth boil is only the white water and fiber to at blanched noodles. Then, pour the soup into a bowl of water and, for khausoy uphill, served with vegetables, raw spinach, shallots, pepper, chili. Khausoy is the most important ingredient of this dish, made of minced pork mixed with garlic, tomatoes, and spices kinds.

The most interesting activity in the trip to Hoian is walking along uncrowded streets and alleys and watching old houses. Currently, all types of motorcycles and cars are not allowed to enter Hoian ancient town. In the 16th and 17th century, Thanh Ha was a thriving village that was famous for various ceramic and terracotta products which were exchanged throughout the central provinces of Vietnam. The pottery here originates from Thanh Hoa. After having acquired some techniques, this pottery village has established.

This is an age-old traditional village. Coming here, you can go sightseeing at the village and Cua Dai beach by boat and a guffa and experiencing the feeling of a fisherman.

Visit Cham islands
Cu Lao Cham is a group of islands in Tan Hiep commune, Hoian and 18 kilometers from Cua Dai beach to the east. It takes about 30 minutes by speedboat. Cham islands are considered an outstanding gem of biodiversity with natural forests, beautiful beaches, coral reefs and a variety of species of precious fisheries.

As a backpacker, it is suggested that you should stay overnight on Cham islands, just rent a tent of 50,000 Vietnam Dong and pay 20,000 Vietnam Dong for the overnight stay. When bathing on Cham islands, you need to be careful of transparent jellyfish that may cause the rash if you touch it.
